A set of woodcuts by Billy Childish, produced by The Aquarium, London, in a limited edition of ten numbered sets for Valentine's day 2004. This is number 5. The work is held in an illustrated, cloth-covered, hinged archival box measuring 52 cm x 62 cm. Contents include 11 woodcuts, a hand-made book, a silk screen print, a photograph. The woodcuts are hand- and foot-printed by Billy Childish on Japanese Ho-Sho paper. The ink, mixed with Billy's spit, is rolled onto the woodblocks. The paper is then laid on top and either rubbed with a spoon or pressed underfoot. The two methods give quite different results. The book is hand-made at The Aquarium and features on extract from Billy's novel 'Sex Crimes of the Futcher'. It is printed on Whatman hot pressed paper and housed in a recycled card folder.
